As many of you know, I hate the hot weather. Well, I said I wasn’t going this year, but there I was, at the fair again. We went on Thursday, the day that all kids went in free. I feel like I willingly went broke for this joyous occasion. Wow, the fair is expensive.
This year, Niles was finally big enough to ride rides. He went on the Wacky Worm coaster and the Ferris Wheel. I was scared only for our safety. He loved it! I had a super awesome Tri-Tip Sandwich.
I am struggling right now. I know I was made to be a Worship Leader. Every fiber in my being tells me this. Yet, where that is and when is a mystery to me right now. As some of you know, Sunnie and I have been out at New Beginnings Church for a while. I have only been serving in the Worship team for a month or so. It has become apparent to me that I don’t fit in there. I am too much of a red personality to fit into the mold of just a participator. That might sound weird to some of you, but to you worship leaders, you will understand. It’s like trying to speak another language when you only speak English. It doesn’t feel right and it’s not what you were meant to do. I think this will be my last weekend as a part of the Worship Team. Please pray that whatever happens, that it’s the Lord’s will for my life. For some reason, I’m having a tough time hearing Him on this one.
Father, please show me what I’m to do. Lead my life where You want it to go. Not my will but Yours Lord.
Finally, the day came and went. I got my new iPhone. I had been without my other iPhone for over a month. This thing is like butter. What a job well done by Apple. Another superior product. The new Application store is so cool. The MySpace and Facebook apps are great and they’re free too!
OK, OK. I know that everyone likes the iPhone already, but I have a confession to make. I just sold my iPhone on eBay. I didn’t sell it for $200 or $300 or even $400. No I didn’t. I got a whopping $510 for my iPhone. Yipee!!!! So, all you Apple Fanboys out there, I’m going to get the new one when it comes out in a couple of weeks. Yeeeehaaaaw!!! If you want to know how I sold it for that much, contact me directly.
My brother and went to Six Flags Magic Mountain last July, which was an awesome trip by the way. So, one of the mornings we were waiting for the gate to open along with the other million people that decided to go that day when we saw HIM! That has to be the harriest back we had ever seen. If I was that hairy, I think I might itch all over. It is amazing how many different kinds of people you see down at a place like that.
I thought, until yesterday, that this was common knowledge. You CAN watch almost all popular TV shows online, legally and for free. I won’t tell you who didn’t know this but she is a part of my family. That’s the only hint you get. So, if you are interested in a show or series and missed it on TV, watch it online. Start with these stations, fox.com, nbc.com, abc.com, cbs.com….the list goes on. I know, most of you are saying, I knew that before I was born, and I agree with you. Some are just slow. ;) The coolest part is at least, a new LOST fan was born so that makes her cool again.
Here is Niles making up a song for God. We use the giraffe (Mr. Spotty) to talk to him sometimes. He truly believes Mr. Spotty can talk. What a sweetheart. So innocent. Anyway, this is what he came up with so we asked if we could record it. He said sure.
Ever since I went to the Lincoln Brewster concert and heard what he had to say about the POD X3 Live, I just had to have one.
No, it’s not that I want to sound like Lincoln because that would be impossible. He had only possitive things to say about that effects pedal. Biggest thing…no amp needed which basically means no stage presence. That is a huge deal when dealing with live sounds, especially in a church setting. Most of the other effects processors that I have heard have a crappy Amp Modeling system which makes it so you have to have a tube amp to tweak the sound to something presentable.
First impressions after unboxing the sucker: this thing is awesome! I first connected it to my Mac and it had some updates. That was very easy. This thing also boots up fast (About 2 Seconds). Not much heat after running it a while either. Pretty solid construction, medal on top and plastic on bottom probably for the weight issue. I then downloaded Lincoln’s custom tones and uploaded them from my computer. All I had to do then was play! Great tone, especially the custom tones LB made.
Overall, I highly recommend the pedal. Dual tones, balanced stereo outputs….what more could you ask for?
It’s not like I like to talk bad about businesses, but this one deserves it. Aplus.net is a hosting company I switched to a month ago and I’m already changing my hosting again. This time I’m going with a company called “BlueHost”. Hopefully some of the issues I have are going to get resolved.
The first issue I had with Aplus.net is how there couldn’t be a true custom “php.ini” file. It doesn’t sound like much, but Wordpress Plugins rely heavily on how PHP can support them. I couldn’t turn on simple PHP features. It’s as simple as that. So I decided that’s not going to work for me so I put in for a domain transfer. To do this, your old host has to release your domains so that the new one can pick them up. I put in the change order on Monday and now it’s Friday and they still haven’t released them. I’m sorry, but where is the customer service? Just a fair warning.
OK. That wasn’t one of the best episodes I have seen, but very important to the story line. It starts off by showing the “Oceanic 6″ being taken home off the island and greeted by family members and the Oceanic staff. During the press conference, they were lying about the whole thing and acting like the cover-up of the plane in the ocean was correct and only 8 got off the plane.
Jack also found out during his Dad’s funeral that his sister was Claire. I think this sets of his whole “drug” phase because he feels guilty.
The Orchid - this sucker sounds very cool. Somehow this station has the ability to move the island. I gotta see that. It’s still so hard to see if Ben’s motives are ultimately good, or is he really a bad guy? I can’t wait until this episode continues next week.
